A new study has shown that Louisiana is ranked fourth-highest in the rate of fatal vehicle crashes involving distracted drivers in the country. 173 of the 887 total fatal vehicle crashes in Louisiana involved distracted drivers. This is a rate of 19.5% which makes Louisiana 2.4 times higher than the national average.
