Last week, local high school football fans saw a highly anticipated cross-town rivalry between Neville and Ouachita as the Tigers faced the defending state champion Lions in DownSouth Sports Magazine’s Game of the Week.

Neville delivered a dominant performance, defeating Ouachita 48–0 in a decisive rivalry matchup. The win highlighted the talent and determination of the Neville High School football team while giving local fans another memorable night of Northeast Louisiana high school football.

Maude Sledge Named Game MVP

Neville wide receiver Maude Sledge (#5) earned DownSouth Sports Magazine MVP honors following an outstanding performance against Ouachita.

Sledge finished the game with 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns, making a significant impact as the Tigers secured their 48–0 victory.

His performance was recognized through the DownSouth Sports Magazine MVP Award, proudly sponsored by Creed & Creed Attorneys at Law, The Monroe Dispatch, and Aubrey’s Graphics & Photography.
